Evaluation of FREE Developmental Milestones Training
for Early Care and Education Professionals

Purpose: Thank you for your interest in the FREE "Watch Me! Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns" online training modules. This training is provided by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The purpose of the training is to make it easier for you to monitor how the children in your care are developing and to talk to parents about their children's developmental milestones. The training is designed to help you monitor developmental milestones with parents, and share any concerns you have with parents. We are conducting an evaluation of the training so that we can learn whether it is meeting its purpose.

Your Participation: If you agree to participate in this evaluation, you will be asked to complete a brief online survey before and after the training. You are not required to participate in this evaluation. However, completing the survey questions will provide us with important information about how well the training is meeting its goals. Declining to participate will not impact your ability to access the Watch Me! training modules. If you agree to participate, you can change your mind at any time. Your survey answers are anonymous.

How to Participate: To participate, simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete the brief pre-training online survey (takes about 5 minutes)

Step 2: Complete the online Watch Me! training (You will be redirected to the training after completing the pre-training survey. The training takes between 45-60 minutes.)
          * This handout summarizes the key points of the training and offers helpful tips.

Step 3: Complete the brief post-training online survey (takes about 8 minutes)

Final Step - Optional 3-month Follow Up: In a few months, you'll know a lot more about whether this training was really useful to you or not. You are invited to return in about 3 months to complete a final survey (takes about 5-8 minutes). You can sign up for an email reminder about the follow up survey.

Evaluation Team: This program evaluation and quality improvement project is being conducted through the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact:

CEU: Get Continuing Education Credit (1 hour) for the training by taking a quiz. This requires setting up an account.
